How to delete old posts on X without losing control
Bulk deleting posts is one of those jobs where speed is tempting, but control matters more. This tutorial shows how to use CleanMyX in smaller, visible sessions so you can review what is happening and stop whenever the page does not look right.
Before you start
Open the X account you actually want to clean and review your profile manually for a minute. If you have posts you might want to preserve, save them first. Any deletion action completed through X should be treated as permanent.
- Confirm you are signed into the right X account.
- Open the Posts or Replies tab you want to clean.
- Close unrelated X tabs so the active page is obvious.
- Decide on a small first batch instead of cleaning everything at once.
Step-by-step cleanup

Open CleanMyX from the Chrome toolbar.
The popup should show the cleaner controls and current session counters. If the popup does not reflect the page you expected, switch back to the correct X tab first.

Review your cleanup settings.
Use session limits and human-paced delays for large profiles. A slower pass is easier to supervise and reduces surprise when X changes the visible page state.

Start with a small session.
Run the cleaner for a short batch, then pause and inspect your profile. This gives you a clean feedback loop before you commit to a longer cleanup.

Watch the counters while it runs.
Processed, deleted, repost, and error counts tell you whether the session is doing what you expected. If errors rise, stop the session and review the X tab.
Mistakes to avoid
Make sure you are on the exact profile section you want CleanMyX to work through.
Large batches are harder to observe. Smaller sessions make cleanup more predictable.
Errors are a signal to pause, not something to power through.
After cleanup
Refresh your profile, scroll through the area you cleaned, and confirm the result. If you need to continue, start another controlled session with the same settings instead of rushing into a larger batch.
